If this journal contained regular entries (including political commentary and snarky remarks about other LJ-users) in crappy Paint-style cartoons, it would be...

- Provided they were vertical strips or hidden behind a cut - wide images fuck with margins of my friends page.

Are you familiar with Matt Feazell's Cynical Man?

Still haven't figured out that scroll bar yet, eh? ;)

I don't want to have to scroll sideways to read each line in my other friends' entries. Also, with the LJ skin(?) we both have, if an image is too wide the side navigation menu goes to the bottom of the page along with the comment buttons for the top entry - which also means that the comment buttons for each entry are actually the comment buttons for the subsequent entry. Or something like that. Suffice to say, it sucks. It's one reason I have been considering getting a paid account - so that I can have a decent looking skin with the menu at the top so all that doesn't happen.

Dude, you can change you 'skin' now, if you want to. I did.

Well, looks like you were able find and modify one of the better-looking free skins. Most of the free ones are pretty ugly, though.

The format is 'Generator', which is in the 'Customize' section of LJ. The background is this, a desktop image from the game Disgaea. I'm still tinkering with it, though...

Your commentary inspired me. I am experimenting as we speak.

Okay, [info]rohmie's LJ has been customized. It's all white so that [info]sabotabby's cartoons look better against all that empty negative space.

I've noticed that a lot of the photo buffs have pages that look like [info]_flyonthewall_'s. I was thinking of something like that.

[info]_flyonthewall_'s layout is so hard to read that sometimes I have to cut-n'-paste what he writes into Word. It shows off his photos splendidly, mind you, so I guess it's a tradeoff.

I voted "lame," but only because "awesomely lame" was not a given option.

Ditto on the margins.

Oh well, I have a mandate now. But I promise not to fuck up anyone's margins. It would fuck up my margins, too.

did you draw that lil redhead?

If the answer is yes - then you now must draw something for every entry.

I demand no less.

I didn't do all the work -- the hair is out of a bottle.

Probably won't be every entry, but it seems people like my stick-figures. Who knew?

explodingdog.com looks like stick figures on first sight, but upon inspection it's obvious that the person there seriously knows how to draw. it's not the stick figures that matter. 8)

The only thing is that my own screen resolution is pretty high, and your text in the drawing ends up being rather tiny. then again not everyone is at 1280x960.

That's true. I can draw, but I'm intentionally drawing poorly.

Of course, the first round ended up being depressing as anything. Maybe it's just as well if no one can read it.
